Alka Vashisht Principal Rahul Model Public School, New Delhi Collaborative Learning CBSE has introduced CCE which gives a lot of importance to peer learning and collaborative learning as it enhances the capacities of the students. Collaborative Learning can take place any time students work together or for example, when they help each other with homework. Te practical example of collaborative learning is a preparation of project work in the class room where the students work on diferent components of the same task. Another example is students' participation in role plays where they work together on one theme by performing diferent roles. Students share their views and express themselves in a better way. Collaborative learning is also very helpful when projects are assigned to the students as it saves time and energy of the students. Collaborative learning helps understanding through pooled knowledge and experience. It provides fun and lessens the stress level. Te only drawback is sometimes students waste a lot of time on one project/activity. To sum up we can say that the collaborative learning is very useful for students as it helps to understand the concept and the students pool their knowledge and experience.
