individually. Collaborative learning increases students' retention and uses a team approach to problem-solving. Collaborative learning stimulates critical thinking and helps the students clarify ideas through discussion and debate. It provides learning experiences to apply the classroom knowledge to daily life and provides the ability to view situations from diferent perspectives. Implications for Instruction: From the study it is concluded that collaborative learning fosters problem-solving skills through mutual sharing of knowledge and analyzing the problem and searching for alternating solution to the problem, For collaborative learning to be more efective there is a need to provide a meaningful learning experience and stimulating students thinking through real world problems. — Tell-me-and-I-forget January-March 2014 25
