Library Environment:
1. To ensure that the library is accessible to all.
2. To maintain an attractive and stimulating environment that is appropriate for study and promotes an interest in reading.
3. To ensure that furniture, fittings and workstations are appropriate for storing and displaying a range of resources and reflect the board's health and safety policy.

 

          The Central Board of Secondary Education library has organized collection of information resources made accessible for reference and borrowing. CBSE’s library collection includes books, periodicals, newspapers, manuscripts, prints, documents, CDs, cassettes, videotapes, DVDs and other formats.
The CBSE library’s collection is being used by Staff and school principals. The collection consists of some rare books and documents. The books cover wide assortment of subjects on Indian history, archaeology, art, education, architecture, geography, natural science and fiction. The library also have the wide range of textbooks, study material, curriculums of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) and other prominent institutions.
Some of the important publications in the library collection include valuable edition of “World Book Encyclopaedia” in 22 volumes and “Encyclopaedia of Hinduism” in 11 volumes. Also this library has appreciated collection of “Year Books”, treasured collection of “Encyclopaedia of Britannica” in 37 volumes. The collection has books authored by Patrick Abbott, M. Abercrombie, O. Abootty, Jacob Abraham, Jessy Abraham, Malolm Abrams, Alan Axelrod, Alan Scaife, J. Robb Alan, E.J. Alberty and many Indian writers such as Rabindranath Tagore, Khushwant Singh etc. There is also an appreciated collection of Journals, newspapers, dictionaries and lexicons on various languages and dialects.
